Greenstripe or Plain Mariposa Lily grows in granitic soils in the coniferous forests at a higher elevation than any other kind of Calochortus found in the San Gabriels.

Hike and Nature Walk Schedule
  • Walks on the Wild Side, first and third Wednesday of each month at 9 am from Mt. Baldy Visitor Center.
  • Last Saturday of each month from San Gabriel Canyon Environmental Education Center at 9 am. Occasionally.
  • Plant Walk, first Saturday at 10 am at the Chilao Visitor Center
  • Bird Walk, second Sunday at 8 am at the Chilao Visitor Center
